The Lowndes County Amateur Radio Club has a wide range of interest. There are 2 sub-chapters within the club offering instruction on electrical theory and practical use of radio electronics. There is an active QRP club and a Fox hunting club. Regular class groups learn everything from Morse code to kit building. This includes transmitters, receivers, antennas, antenna tuners, power supplies and much more. The fox hunting group host several hunts a year and offers instruction on building direction finding equipment and its use. The club has full HF, VHF and UHF equipment available for club members to use for DX'ing, contest, special events and personal use. Instructors offer all 3 license class instruction and there’s an in-house VE group for testing. The club maintains 2 VHF repeaters, 1 UHF D-Star repeater with I-Gate.
